UVIU was a creator-fan platform focused on direct interaction, content distribution, and monetization tools for performers. As Lead Product Designer, I was responsible for defining the UX architecture and designing the core experience across both mobile and desktop platforms.

The product aimed to create a seamless ecosystem where creators could publish content, engage directly with their audience, and monetize their activity through subscriptions, messaging, and digital purchases.

Following the acquisition of Fancentro, UVIU was integrated into the broader Fancentro ecosystem, with parts of its functionality and product direction incorporated into the larger creator platform.

My Role

Lead Product Designer

  • Led UX and UI design for the UVIU platform across mobile and desktop

  • Defined product interaction models and core user flows

  • Designed creator and fan interfaces across discovery, messaging, and content consumption

  • Worked closely with product managers and engineers to deliver scalable product features

  • Conducted UX research and behavioral analysis to inform product decisions

  • Built interactive prototypes and validated flows through usability testing

The Problem

Creator platforms require balancing two very different audiences:

  • fans, who want frictionless content discovery and interaction

  • creators, who need clear monetization tools and audience management

The challenge was designing a system that supported both sides of the marketplace while maintaining a simple and engaging user experience.

Key challenges included:

  • fragmented creator tools

  • unclear monetization pathways

  • inefficient content discovery

  • inconsistent interaction patterns between fan and creator experiences

The Outcome

The designed platform delivered a more cohesive and scalable product experience across core areas of the system, including content discovery, creator interaction, and monetization surfaces.

The work established clearer interaction models for both creators and fans, improved usability across desktop and mobile experiences, and created a stronger foundation for the platform’s continued development.

Conducted behavioral analysis, usability testing, and iterative design improvements to validate product decisions and optimize engagement across the platform.
